The
Aspen Free-Air Carbon Dioxide Enrichment
(FACE) Experiment was named one of “The 10
Important Atmospheric Science Experiments” by
Scientific American (www.scientificamerican.com/slideshow.cfm?id=10-climate-experiments).
Dr Percy was Principal Investigator and member of the Steering Committee for Aspen FACE. The world’s
largest greenhouse gas-forest experiment comprised 100 scientists from ten countries. It was primarily funded during
its 12 years of operation (1998-2009) by the U.S. Department of Energy.
