January 19, 2010, Washington, D.C. - Dr. Percy and Aspen FACE colleagues cited in Federal Register/Vol. 75, No. 11 [40 CFR Parts 50 and 58, pp. 2938-3052; available at www.gpoaccess.gov/fr/] with reference to EPA National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Ozone; Action: Proposed Rule on Secondary Standard for Vegetation.
June 19, 2009 Ottawa  - Dr. Percy Receives Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) Departmental Achievement Award.
The Award for Excellence in Science which "Demonstrates exceptional scientific achievements in research and the management of Canada’s natural resources " was presented to by the Deputy Minister "For Understanding the Dynamic Nature of Climate Change and Forest Productivity."  
April  7, 2009 USA  FACE Experiment named one of “10 Important Atmospheric Science Experiments”
The Aspen Free-Air Carbon Dioxide Enrichment (FACE) Experiment was named one of “The 10 Important Atmospheric Science Experiments” by Scientific American (www.scientificamerican.com/slideshow.cfm?id=10-climate-experiments). Dr Percy was Principal Investigator and member of the Steering Committee for Aspen FACE.  The world’s largest greenhouse gas-forest experiment comprised 100 scientists from ten countries. It was primarily funded during its 12 years of operation (1998-2009) by the U.S. Department of Energy.
